How do you like your margaritas?! For me, it’s skinny, spicy, and on the rocks! 💥
Here’s the easy, delicious and low cal recipe you’ve been waiting for! After all, it’s National Margarita Day! Enjoy a Rita!! 🙌🏻
Jen’s Skinny Margarita
Per glass:
2 oz tequila
2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice (about 1 lime per drink) (5 drinks out of 4 limes)
1 oz agave simple syrup (recipe included)
Measure out 2 ounces of tequila, or eyeball it and be generous. It’s warmth will make you smile 🙂
Squeeze about 2 ounces of FRESH lime juice. Make sure it’s fresh. It makes all the difference! Get one of those handy citrus squeezers if you don’t have one. It’s worth it!
Agave Simple Syrup:
To make the simple syrup, combine one cup of agave syrup and one cup of water. Bring to a boil, while stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool. You can store this in the fridge and use as needed!!
Combine in shaker: a few cubes of ice, generous 2 oz of tequila, 2 oz of lime juice, 1 oz of agave simple syrup.
Serve over ice with a salted rim!
Like it spicy?
My favorite 🌶 variation for a spicy margarita!! Use tahin on the rim. YUMMM!! And muddle a slice of jalapeño in your drink. Perfection. 🙂
