Kyndryl’s AI Lab Brings 300 jobs to Frisco

Kyndryl (NYSE: KD), the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider, has opened their newest AI Innovation lab at The Star in Frisco, TX.

The 40,000 square foot facility comes with a $40 million investment and will create 300 jobs, a familiar theme for Frisco, TX. Kyndryl was created in 2021 as a spin-off of IBM’s managed infrastructure business to design, run, and modernize the complex systems behind large enterprises.

The lab houses a specialized engineering team dedicated to building and testing digital solutions for motor vehicle agencies (DMVs) across the United States. It also features a Cyber Defense Operations Center that uses AI and automation to give companies real-time visibility and faster incident response across complex IT systems. And Kyndryl is teaming up with local groups like NPower, Dallas AI, and Tech Titans to run training programs focused on skills like prompt engineering and automation.
